Isnt that the sweetest smile? And thats from a dog that till recently had trouble in eating. Gordon can now smile, can eat, can play and can find a home now. He wont have the perfect face and he wont be prettiest dog but who cares? Hes healed, hes doing very good and we ‘ve got our amazing vets to thank for.
Gordons story is one of the most horrific if not the most horrible we had in our 10 years of rehoming. It may be one of the most horrible in the strays found in Cyprus. We wont explain much about it, you can scroll down in our pages posts and you will see his previous post. We did one a few days ago. Or you can press the title of the post and go to his photo album. You will see how he was found with half his face hanging at the side. Gordon was shot in the face and half his face was in pieces.
By his face, his character, we see that hes a young shepherd cross around 1-2 years old. With what we know about the dogs used by our local hunters, most probably he was either bred for hunting or used for guarding a small sheep farm? Yes, our locan hunters breed shepherds with any type of hound to get stronger hunting dogs. Plus any dog can hunt, why not shepherds? So with either option, hunting or guarding, Gordy wasnt good so he was shot to get rid of him. Most probably the he was shot to be killed but the owner didnt manage to kill him, he missed so Gordon is still alive.
Now Gordon needs a home. He deserves doesn’t he? After what hes been, he needs a place where he will be loved. We dont want to bring him here and put him in a cage. It would be so amazing to see him find a home, even if a foster. Would anyone help him? Would anyone give him the love and care he needs? Please help our smiley boy. He can fly if needed abroad. We send dogs to most of the european countries for years now so its alright to be rehomed abroad. Message us for more infos or visit our website and download our application form.
