Meet Amos – The Sweetest Little Boy Looking for His Forever Home ❤️

Amos is one of the lucky ones. After two of our rescue dogs found loving homes, we were finally able to bring him out of the shelter and into our rescue. While it’s not a home yet, he’s much happier here than he was before. He has friends to play with, enjoys daily exercise and social time, and his cheerful personality is shining through.

What we don’t understand is why this lovely boy has been overlooked.

Sadly, black dogs are often ignored in Cyprus because of old superstitions that consider them bad luck. As a result, many wonderful black dogs spend far longer waiting for homes than they should. Amos is one of them.

Amos was abandoned during the turmoil that followed the outbreak of war in the Middle East. We found countless confused and scared dogs wandering the streets, suddenly without the families they trusted. Amos deserves a second chance and a family that will never leave him behind again.

At around 8–9 months old, Amos is still very much a puppy. He has the cutest short legs and a long body, making him look like a charming mix of larger and smaller breeds. He weighs approximately 12–13 kg and is likely close to his adult size.

But his best feature isn’t his appearance—it’s his character.

Amos is the kind of dog who fits in wherever he goes. He loves people, enjoys canine company, and has a gentle, happy nature that makes everyone fall in love with him. It’s truly heartbreaking to see such a sweet young dog spending his days in a kennel when he has so much love to give.
