One of the best doggies we have at the shelter, one of the kindest, the most social and smiley girl. Areti has maybe the 1st place in the most easy character from the dogs we have and she was one that we got in a horrible situation.

When we got this girl months ago, we didnt know if she was gonna make it to be honest. She was a living skeleton and could barely walk. End then she was happy to be alive and she tried to play with other dogs. She was so weak and we put her with very soft dogs, with Skaya who was learning to play after and Leah who was a small pointer teenager. Slowly she gained weight, got better. Ever since shes showing us so much love cause we rescued her. Endless gratitude and devotion which makes us feel so bad cause we dont have a home for her. Its not easy to rehome dogs, not many people believe in rescuing, especially from abroad and many are afraid that something can go wrong with a rescue dog. We understand that but we would never send a dog to a family that dont match. We send a dog where we believe is the best match and we are quite good at it. Over 9 years we rehomed more than 6,500 dogs locally and abroad.

Areti which means virtue, calmness and serenity in a way, needs a home alone or with other dogs. She can be with children and she would love having friends to play with. Shes a really gentle dog and would bever cause any harm to any one. We dont know what breeds shes got, she must be a bit of every hound we ‘ve got in the island. But shes beautiful and shes got an even more beautiful soul. If we didnt need to rehome the dogs we have the soonest cause we need to move from where we are, we would be seriously thinking in keeping her as one of our dogs. But things have changed for us and we need to find somewhere else to go which is another story.

Our hound girl is around 1,5-2 years old. Shes not old, shes a young girl who obviously wasnt good for hunting since shes very kind hearted. As you can see from the photos, shes not large size, shes medium around 17-18 kilos. An easy size to handle and can leave in a small place if needed, as long as shes got her walks during daytime.
