Hunting season is over and all unwanted dogs are dumped. This is what is happening in Cyprus years and years now. So far none of the governments have done something to reduce the strays or punish somone who abandoned a dog. Its really embarrassing to live in a country that doesnt care about animals but unfortunately we dont have a choice.

The dog we post is one of the hundreds that were abandoned this season. Shes a pointer mix pup around 6-7 months old and shes lucky that she managed to go to a house and find help. Many strays dont manage and the mountains are full with corpses of dead dogs. As you can see from the photos, shes emaciated, really skinny and she wouldn’t survive much longer in the wild if she didnt find the house.

The pup is called Lucy and shes now fostered by the family who found her. Of course she doesnt have any chip so the owner cant be traced. Now that shes got someone to look after her, she will put on weight and will be the most pretty girl. Hopefully someone will give her a chance and adopt her. Shes a beautiful pup plus pointers have the kindest heart. Lucy will be amazing for a family if just given the chance. If anyone is interested in this sweet girl, please message us.
