A truly stunning young boy we’ve been trying for some time to convince his owner to surrender to us — and we’re happy to say we’ve finally succeeded. Soon, we will also be taking in his sister.
He is an Istrian Hound crossed with a “Letchi,” a Cypriot village mix locally bred over generations. These dogs often carry a blend of Beagle, Greek Hound, Pointer, Segugio, and sometimes even Greyhound — a true “Heinz 57” type mix.
This combination has given him beautiful blue eyes — and he has them in both eyes.
The pink lead was the only one available at the time, and to avoid confusion about his sex, we added two blue hearts for identification.
He is a medium-sized dog, weighing around 16–17 kg. He is still young, likely around 1–2 years old, though as with many strays, exact age is difficult to determine.
He is friendly with both people and other dogs, though he becomes very excited around cats and barks at them, so we would not yet trust him with cats.
He is a loving, affectionate boy, as most hounds tend to be, and we believe he will make a wonderful companion in the right home.
He is now looking for a forever home. Sponsorship and naming opportunities are also available — please message us if you’re interested.
He can be adopted abroad, not only in Cyprus. We have been rehoming dogs for many years across several European countries, including the UK and Germany, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re based abroad.
