A special little old gentleman looking for a home ❤️

This time we have one of our soft spots… an oldie.

This sweet, small little gentleman has sadly found himself needing a new home because his owner is no longer able to care for him. We were asked to help, and of course we said yes. We can never say no to the oldies or the puppies.

He’s a lovely boy who gets on well with other dogs, but he’d also be perfectly happy as the only dog in the home. There is just one thing to know—he absolutely does not like cats! He will chase them, so he needs a cat-free home.

Although he’s good with children, we’d love to find him a quiet, peaceful home where he can enjoy his retirement. At his age, he deserves somewhere calm to relax and be loved.

We’ve had him fully checked over, and we’re delighted to say he’s in great health. We honestly expected to find one or two age-related issues, but he’s doing brilliantly. He still has plenty of happy years ahead of him, and we’d love for him to spend them in a loving home rather than a shelter.

At the moment, he’s sharing with our lurcher puppies because they’re the only dogs close to his size. He does play with them, but they definitely keep him on his toes and can be a bit much for an older gentleman! As much as he copes, shelter life is no place for a senior dog.
